Expert Explained the Front's Need for a Swarm of AI Drones: They Will Deceive Enemy Electronic Warfare Systems

Analyst Damantsev Stated the Need for AI Drones in Combat

If the Russian army at the front has "swarms of drones" at its disposal, this will significantly enhance its military superiority at the front. This was stated by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.

He noted that there is now a need to overcome the most powerful multi-band interference barriers formed by modern mobile and portable electronic warfare systems for controlling and transmitting video images to control posts, as well as GPS/GLONASS correction radio navigation modules.

Updated INS on promising drones will work in tandem with AI modules, ensuring the execution of combat missions through optoelectronic correlation with the terrain.

According to him, similar algorithms will be used to identify and classify stationary and moving enemy objects. These measures may, in some cases, completely eliminate the need for UAV operators to use transmitting modes of operation of control terminals, which minimizes the likelihood of detecting launch points and control posts by means of radio and electronic intelligence systems of a potential enemy.

The expert expressed the opinion that the effectiveness of countering such drones by means of standard electronic warfare systems will decrease by tens to hundreds of times.

The most priority means will be electromagnetic microwave systems of directed action, capable of disabling the radio-electronic component base of these drones, damaging optoelectronic modules of drones, or completely disabling them.
