UTair presented new simulators for flight crew training in Tyumen, including full-function complexes for An-74 and ATR 72-500. On them, pilots can practice not individual exercises, but entire flight scenarios, including actions in abnormal and emergency situations.
The An-74 simulator provides imitation of flight conditions and allows crews to practice standard procedures, as well as actions in abnormal and emergency situations.
The An-74 simulator is of particular importance for training pilots to work in difficult climatic conditions. UTair uses aircraft of this type for transport tasks, including those related to northern regions.
The full-function ATR 72-500 simulator is equipped with a six-degree-of-freedom motion system that simulates dynamic effects during aircraft flight.
At the presentation, Evgeny Kozhedub, Head of Flight Operations Department of Rosaviatsiya, noted that modern simulators allow shifting the focus from individual tasks to scenarios close to real conditions. According to him, this also makes it possible to more deeply practice non-technical skills of the crew.
UTair calls the ATR 72-500 simulator the only full-function complex of this type in the post-Soviet space.
New simulators expand the possibilities of crew training directly in Tyumen: pilots can practice complex situations on the ground without exposing the real aircraft and crew to risk.
