Rosgvardiya servicemen in the Leningrad Region tested the latest combat laser against drones. The system is mounted on an off-road vehicle. Specialists from the radiation, chemical, and biological protection service of the Northwestern District of Rosgvardiya participated in the tests together with representatives of the military-industrial complex.
Rosgvardiya clarified that the mobile laser installation was mounted on an off-road vehicle.
The fighters checked the tactical and technical characteristics and combat capabilities of the laser to destroy unmanned aerial vehicles of various models while maneuvering at different distances, speeds, and altitudes. Based on the test results, recommendations will be given for further improving the techniques and methods of combat use of the laser installation.
Also, a laser air defense system in Russia is being created as part of the "Posokh" project. To increase efficiency, the system was integrated with radar, which allows for more accurate detection and tracking of "birds". According to the latest information, during tests, it was possible to achieve a range of 1.5 km.
