Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) has completed maintenance and routine repairs of one of the PAES-2500 mobile autonomous power plants at the Kushchevskoye underground gas storage facility. This was reported by the company's press service.
PAES-2500 is a mobile automated gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 2500 kW. The Kushchevskoye underground gas storage facility is located in the Krasnodar Territory. The facility regulates seasonal and peak unevenness of gas consumption in the Krasnodar Territory, the Republic of Adygea, and the Rostov Region, and also contributes to maintaining the reliability of export supplies via the Blue Stream gas pipeline. KMZ specialists performed equipment maintenance and repair operations to prepare the power plant for reliable start-up and stable operation.
Previously, KMZ was involved in the restoration of AI-20 gas turbine engines, which are used as drives for PAES-2500. In the summer of 2025, tests of one such engine began at the enterprise.
