PD-8 engines for "Superjets" and PD-14 for MC-21 have received a common production site with other Russian aircraft engines. The new ODK-Salut building in Moscow, with an area of more than 10 thousand square meters, has been equipped with 230 units of high-tech equipment.
At the same time, the site will become a training center. More than 750 college students will be able to study annually in the training center with nine laboratories.
Moreover, future specialists will be trained in several related working professions at once, noted Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov.
From these walls, they will emerge as highly qualified specialists who will contribute to the creation of serial engines for new Russian aircraft.
Here, parts will be produced not only for PD-8 and PD-14, but also for AI-222-25 power plants, TV7-117 and VK-2500 families. Production is divided into seven specialized sections.
