The "Krechet" interceptor drone, 2.5 times faster than "Yolka", has appeared in Russia

The aircraft-type UAV from SPC "Ushkuynik" accelerates up to 450 km/h

SPC "Ushkuynik" has developed a new aircraft-type interceptor drone "Krechet", which accelerates up to 450 km/h in the sky. Such capabilities allow it to easily catch up with drones, said the head of the company Alexey Chadayev.

According to him, "Krechet" has high roll maneuverability due to its swept-back wing.

This reduces the turning radius. Even if "Krechet" misses, it manages to turn around and attack again.

Chadayev clarified that "Krechet" is launched from a catapult. It rams UAVs with a kinetic strike, but a warhead can also be suspended. For example, its speed and mass are sufficient to shoot down "Lyuty" drones, whose acceleration does not exceed 200 km/h.

The military is already armed with the well-known interceptor drone "Yolka", but it only accelerates up to 200 km/h and only strikes by ramming without a warhead. In light of the development of jet drones, its capabilities may not be enough.
