Russia has agreed on over 80% of the licensing agreement with the Indian corporation HAL for the localization of SJ-100 aircraft production. This was announced by Vadim Badeha, CEO of OAK.
This refers not to the supply of finished aircraft, but to industrial cooperation with the transfer of part of the production, maintenance of aircraft and their components.

Badeha did not rule out that the first Indian operator of the SJ-100 would be announced at the Aero India 2027 exhibition, which will take place in February.
Gennady Abramenkov, Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, noted that if the deal with HAL is signed, India will not be able to sell SJ-100s to third countries without Russia's consent. Such a prohibition was explicitly stipulated in the agreement.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" that India will take at least five years to master the SJ-100 with PD-8. This requires creating entire production facilities and training qualified personnel.
