At Yakutskaya GRES-2, work will be carried out on import substitution of technological capacities. Power engineers will cut a new gas pipeline into the station's common manifold and connect gas communications to units No. 5 and No. 6.
The chief engineer of the station, Nikolay Ammosov, specified that the work will take place from September 6 to 10.
The commissioning of new gas turbines and infrastructure will increase the reliability of power supply to the Central Energy District of Yakutia and replace imported equipment.
Recall that in 2017, four powerful LM6000 gas turbines from the American company General Electric were installed at GRES-2.
Now they will be replaced by two domestic EGES-25PA units with a capacity of 25 MW each, which were built on the basis of the PS-90 engine gas generator. These power units are used on wide-body Il-96 airliners, as well as medium-haul Tu-214s.
Earlier it became known that the Ural Turbine Plant began work on creating the first steam turbine with a capacity of 330 MW – the largest unit of this class in Russia.
