The second passenger catamaran of project 04790 "Sommers L" – "Sirius Beta" – was launched at the Samara shipyard "Nefteflot". The vessel is designed to carry up to 300 passengers on inland waterways and in coastal marine waters of Russia.
The catamaran is being built by order of the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) as part of the program for preferential leasing of civil water transport vessels with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The vessel's project was developed by "Forss-Tekhnologii" company.
The length of "Sirius Beta" is about 38 meters, and its width is 9.5 meters. The vessel is equipped with two engines, each with a power of 405 kW, and is capable of reaching speeds of up to 10 knots. The hull is made of shipbuilding steel, and the superstructure is made of aluminum alloys. The lead catamaran of this series – "Sirius Alpha" – was launched on June 10, 2026. "Neva Travel" company is the lessee of both vessels.
