Pantsir-S1M anti-aircraft missile-gun systems (ZRK) in Moscow Oblast have received new short-range TKB-1055 "Gvozd" missiles for protection against drones. This was reported by analysts from "Voennaya Khronika".

A package of four such munitions is mounted instead of one traditional 57E6 anti-aircraft missile. The Russian Ministry of Defence has not yet commented on this information.

It should be noted that the TKB-1055 is inferior to standard munitions in range, but is more maneuverable. For comparison, the range of the "Gvozd" is up to 7 km, while the 57E6 is 20 km.

The "Gvozd" missile is equipped with a solid-propellant booster that detaches in flight, with a lightweight body made of composite materials.

The engine is located on the booster stage; after separation, the product flies by inertia. The maximum speed of attacked air targets is 1000 m/s, the maximum speed of the SAM is 820 m/s.
