The Chelyabinsk manufacturer of trailer equipment "Uterborg" presented a new low-bed semi-trailer JTB-40, designed for transporting special equipment and oversized cargo. The model's carrying capacity is 40 tons.
One of the main features of the new product is the hydraulic lifting of the rear platform. Thanks to this mechanism, equipment can drive onto the trailer without the use of additional ramps. The hydraulic system is driven by an autonomous hydraulic station and a lever mechanism. The width of the hydraulic ramps is 700 mm, the entry angle is only 8–10 degrees, which allows transporting road construction equipment with low ground clearance. Transverse hydraulic cylinders allow the ramps to move together and apart for easy entry.
In the design of the semi-trailer, the power part of the frame, including the side members and the gooseneck, has been maximally lightened. This made it possible to compensate for the additional weight of the lifting platform without compromising the carrying capacity. The model is designed for transporting a wide range of goods weighing up to 40 tons.
