SJ-100 Gains Momentum: Russian Carriers Have Already Contracted 42 New Aircraft

27 aircraft are simultaneously being assembled at the production site in Komsomolsk-on-Amur

Russian airlines have already contracted 42 SJ-100 passenger aircraft, and 27 liners are simultaneously at various stages of readiness at the production site in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. This was announced by the Governor of Khabarovsk Krai, Dmitry Demeshin.

According to him, PAO "Yakovlev" continues to increase the production of import-substituted aircraft.

Demeshin also noted that demand for the SJ-100 will continue to grow. In his estimation, the aircraft will be in demand primarily on domestic routes and routes in the Far East, where they will be able to provide regular communication between cities such as Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Yakutsk, Magadan, and Okhotsk.

The growing order book indicates the SJ-100 program's transition to the stage of serial contract execution, as carriers are already forming their future fleet of domestic regional airliners.
