"Superjet" turned out to be 75% non-Russian: brakes - Goodrich, avionics - Parker

Rostov branch of the KPRF: in SSJ-100, only aluminum and titanium remained domestic

The idea of re-engining the SSJ-100 airliner from SaM146 engines to PD-8 is doomed to failure by default, as the aircraft consists of 75% foreign parts. This statement was made by the Rostov branch of the KPRF party.

Party representatives noted that replacing engines on 50 SSJ-100 airliners will cost 115 billion rubles – 2.3 billion per aircraft. It should be noted that OAK head Vadim Badeha later denied this amount, but did not provide current data.

Most of the SSJ-100 consists of 70–75% imported components. Avionics are American, brakes are Goodrich, hydraulics are Parker, engines are Russian-French SaM146.

We are not building new, but fixing past mistakes for crazy money. And the problem is not only in money. The question is how we found ourselves in a situation where a strategic industry became dependent on those who can cut off oxygen at any moment.

However, simply "rehanging" the engines will not work. It is necessary to modify the engine nacelles, pylons, wing caisson, and onboard cable network. In essence, this is a reassembly of the aircraft for half the cost of a new one.

Former Airbus auditor Andrey Patrakov also noted that re-engining with PD-8 will not solve the problems of the SSJ-100. According to him, dozens of imported components remain in the airliners, which are simply not produced in Russia.
