Mass production of entirely Russian emergency slides for MS-21, SJ-100, and Tu-214 aircraft has begun in Ulyanovsk. The production was mastered by the "Promtech-Ulyanovsk" enterprise, which replaced previously used imported analogues.
The new products are intended for Russian civil aircraft manufacturing programs and will become part of the equipment for promising passenger liners. Production is organized at the facilities of the Ulyanovsk enterprise, which is part of the "Promyshlennye Tekhnologii" scientific and production corporation.
In addition to emergency slides, "Promtech-Ulyanovsk" produces aircraft interiors and other components for Russian aircraft, participating in import substitution programs for MS-21, SJ-100, and Tu-214. The company also plans to expand production capacity by building a new facility.
Mastering its own production of emergency rescue equipment allows reducing the dependence of Russian aircraft manufacturing programs on foreign suppliers and increasing the localization level of civil aircraft.
