Russian military personnel have received a new batch of Kornet anti-tank systems. This system has already destroyed thousands of the most modern combat vehicles, but now it is also capable of operating against drones, said Bekkhan Ozdoev, industrial director of Rostec.
According to him, the versatility of the Kornet allows it to be used even against small mobile targets.
An encounter with the "Kornet" leaves virtually no chance for modern enemy tanks, including those equipped with reactive armor. The number of destroyed vehicles has long exceeded thousands. It is also effectively used to destroy unmanned aerial vehicles.
The system uses laser beam guidance, which allows the operator to accurately track the target until impact. The maximum firing range reaches 10 km.
Military expert Evgeny Damantsev in the summer of 2025 called Kornet missiles an effective way to destroy high-speed BECs.
