Rosaviatsiya published the certificate for the Il-114-300 turboprop aircraft, which is prohibited from operating at temperatures below -9 degrees and above +25 degrees. This very airliner is supposed to replace the Soviet An-24 on local routes.
The Ilyushin Design Bureau confirmed to the “Trud” publication that weather resistance tests have not yet been completed. An aviation expert, who remained anonymous, questioned the purpose of purchasing such an aircraft.
I initially took it as a joke. The question immediately arises: who then needs such an aircraft?
Also, the Il-114-300 has not yet received certification for landing on unpaved runways. Presumably, by 2027, the aircraft will be granted this capability, as noted by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov.
The Il-114-300 received a type certificate, which allowed the first three aircraft to be transferred to the Second Arkhangelsk Aviation Detachment.
