Rostec Creates New Turbines from 200 kW to 115 MW: First NK-36 to be Delivered to Customer Soon

The lineup includes microturbines for remote areas and powerful gas turbine units for energy and gas industries

Rostec is creating a new series of small and large capacity power turbines, and the first NK-36 gas turbine units will soon be delivered to the customer. This was announced by the corporation's CEO, Sergey Chemezov.

According to him, United Engine Corporation is creating several types of power equipment at once. In addition to large gas turbine units for the fuel and energy complex, compact microturbines with capacities from 200 kW to 1.5 MW are being developed.

They will be in demand in remote and hard-to-reach areas. Where there are small settlements and powerful power plants are not required, but such small power units are sufficient.

A separate direction is related to equipment for the gas transportation industry. ODK is developing gas pumping units based on aviation technologies, including the new NK-36 engine with a capacity of 32 MW.

According to him, Rostec plans to deliver the first NK-36 units to Novatek in the near future. It is also expected that these units will be used in the "Power of Siberia - 2" gas pipeline project, where Gazprom intends to use them.
