The relocation of the PAO "Tupolev" office from Moscow to Kazan will entail huge expenses. Costs are determined individually and range from several billion rubles, warned aviation engineer Valery Ageev.
He cited the relocation of RusHydro to Krasnoyarsk as an example, where costs amounted to at least 16 billion rubles. This sum included the purchase and renovation of the building, equipment, furniture, and housing for some employees.
The cost of intercity freight transportation ranges from 40 to 100 rubles per km, depending on the cargo tonnage, not including professional packaging and insurance costs.
However, Ageev believes that Tupolev's relocation is only possible in the 2030-35 horizon.
A new Tu-214 is estimated at 6 billion rubles, although in 2023 the cost was around 3.2 billion rubles. Against this background, the Kazan Aircraft Plant is looking for electroplaters with a salary of 50 thousand rubles.
Earlier it became known that PAO "Tupolev" will change its legal address from Moscow to Kazan. The central design bureau in the capital will be transformed into a branch.
