Russia plans to expand the network of centers that will develop industrial robotics. By the end of 2026, 13 more such sites should open in the regions, bringing the total number of centers to 20. These plans were revealed by Valery Piven, Director of the Department of Machine Tool Building and Heavy Machine Building of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Industrial robotics development centers can become one of the main tools for supporting regions. This includes helping local enterprises more actively implement robotic technologies.

According to the presentation for his speech, another 10 such centers are planned to be created in 2027.

10 billion rubles are provided for the support of robotics development until the end of 2026. In 2027, funding should amount to 11 billion rubles, and in 2028 - 23 billion rubles.

If the needs of the industry grow, funding is ready to be increased, explained the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The first federal center for the development of industrial robotics appeared in 2024 on the basis of Innopolis University in Tatarstan. It became the main platform for the federal project "Development of Production of Means of Production". In the future, the center should coordinate the work of regional satellite centers.
