The government will continue to update the production capacities of shipbuilding enterprises participating in the “quotas under keel” investment program. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev during a trip to the Leningrad Region, where he visited the Severnaya Verf and the Otradnoye shipyard.
Patrushev also held an on-site meeting with representatives of relevant ministries and departments, dedicated to the development of fishing shipbuilding. He stated that Russia is designing highly efficient and safe vessels.
During the implementation of the investment quota program, 56 vessels have been built. Another 66 projects are under implementation. According to the plan, shipyards are to deliver 10 vessels to customers in 2026.
The meeting also touched upon the topic of building a scientific fleet. Among the promising projects is the research vessel (NIS) "Ivan Frolov". It was laid down at the Admiralty Shipyards in 2023. The vessel is being built for the needs of Roshydromet. The cost of the project is about 40 billion rubles.
The meeting participants discussed mechanisms for monitoring the completion of vessels, as well as the use of funds under the “quotas under keel” program.
Later, Patrushev, together with St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, inspected the freezer longliner-processor "Marlin" (project MT1112XL) and the trawler-processor "Kapitan Geller" (project 170701). Both fishing vessels were built at the Severnaya Verf.
At the Otradnoye plant, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation assessed the pace of construction of the longliner "Kapitan Golovatyuk" (project 200101). Currently, the vessel is on the slipways, and completion work is underway.
