Two specialized anti-drone pickups based on Sollers ST6 have been transferred to the Leningrad Military District to combat drones. The equipment was acquired by the Leningrad Oblast using regional budget funds, as reported by Governor Alexander Drozdenko.
The vehicles are equipped with a complex of equipment for detecting aerial targets, including radar systems, optoelectronic systems, and thermal imagers. This equipment allows for timely detection and tracking of drones in various conditions, increasing the effectiveness of countering threats.
Typically, such mobile systems are equipped with remotely controlled turret modules with two 7.62-mm PKT machine guns, integrated with "Krechet" or "Krechet+" aiming systems. There are also more advanced modifications, where the "Lun" radar station, the "Krechet" optoelectronic sight, and the "Katran" combat module work as a single system.
A key feature of these systems is the automatic target acquisition using artificial intelligence algorithms. The system independently recognizes drones, tracks them, and transmits coordinates to the combat module, minimizing operator involvement. The unified design also allows for changing weapons: instead of PKT, four-barrel high-speed GShG-7.62 machine guns or special laser modules can be used for specific tasks.
