Rosatom has produced its 500th composite blade for wind power plants. The anniversary product was manufactured by the Rosatom Vetrolopasti plant in Ulyanovsk, which began operations in 2024 and became a key link in the full production cycle for manufacturing blades for modern wind farms.
The launch of the enterprise allowed for the organization of a full cycle of fiberglass structure production – from raw material processing to the manufacture of finished products. This approach reduced dependence on external suppliers and ensured the serial production of one of the most complex parts of wind power plants.
Today, the Ulyanovsk plant supplies blades for the Novolakskaya, Simonovskaya, and Verbnaya wind power plants. In addition, the enterprise has already shipped the first sets of equipment for the construction of a wind farm in Kyrgyzstan, which became the first export project for this production.
Sergey Fedchenko, General Director of Rosatom Vetrolopasti, noted that the production of the 500th blade was the result of the accumulated experience of the entire team. According to him, the enterprise's specialists quickly mastered the production of complex composite products, and the developed competencies and production culture create the basis for implementing even larger projects in the future.
