The SSJ-100 fleet with SaM146 engines will not disappear after 2030

OAK: 85% of Superjet-100 will remain in operation

After the introduction of sanctions, the prospects for operating SSJ-100 aircraft were assessed extremely pessimistically. However, over four years, the forecast has been radically changed, according to the Yakovlev company.

It is expected that after 2030, almost 85% of previously produced SSJ-100s will remain in service. This result was achieved thanks to the creation of Russia's own support system for aircraft equipped with foreign components.

During this time, a regulatory framework was formed in the country, allowing for the maintenance of foreign components, repairs were organized domestically, and the production of spare parts and consumables was established.

Agreements on design support were concluded with almost 170 Russian enterprises. The number of imported products for which technical maintenance has already been mastered in Russia has grown to 510.

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade found funds for research and development work on re-engining the current SSJ-100 fleet from SaM146 engines to PD-8.
