New cars of the revived Volga brand have received fully localized instrument panel and media system screens. The menu in the cars is in Russian, and the published videos show the splash screen and the “smooth and pleasant” operation of the interface.
The official start of sales of new Volgas is scheduled for June 19. At the first stage, cars will be available through 25–30 dealerships. Later, the network is planned to be significantly expanded — up to 130 points across the country.
About 1500 cars from the first production batch have already been sent to dealers.
The new Volga lineup includes three models. Buyers will be offered the C50 sedan at a price starting from 2,899,000 rubles, the K40 crossover from 2,749,000 rubles, and the flagship K50 crossover from 4,199,000 rubles.
The manufacturer focuses on modern technologies for active and passive safety, as well as interior equipment. The cars are equipped with electronic driver assistants, a 12-speaker audio system, a massager, memory for driver and passenger seats, ventilation for the front seats, and electric adjustment of the backrest angle for the second row.
In the future, new Volgas are expected to undergo deeper localization. Ultimately, the cars are planned to be transformed from Chinese cars into Russian models with domestic engines and automatic transmissions. Volga will invest at least 60 billion rubles in localization.
