Future Su-57 Engine Developers Will No Longer Be Just Fitters

ODK-UMPO completed the training of the first 23 multi-skilled specialists

At Rostec's Production and Training Center based at ODK-UMPO, the first cohort of students completed their training under the program for multi-skilled specialists in aircraft engine assembly. A total of 23 graduates were trained, mastering several working professions.

Students received qualifications as aircraft engine assembly fitters, mechanical assembly fitters, aircraft equipment assemblers, and assembly, installation, and repair work controllers. They will soon begin working at the enterprise.

The final certification took the form of a practical task – participants assembled elements of the oil system and the accessory gearbox of a real turbojet engine.

Special attention was paid to the precise adherence to technological documentation and the correct use of special tooling.

Since early 2026, ODK-UMPO has received two notifications from counterparties about possible bankruptcy. The enterprise builds engines for Su-57 and Su-35 fighters.
