The Yenisei tanker, registered in the port of Murmansk, is undergoing its first scheduled repair at the modernized Murmansk Shipyard (SRZ). Previously, such work was carried out at other shipyards. This was announced by the Governor of the Murmansk region, Andrey Chibis.
Today, the updated production base of the Murmansk Shipyard allows for complex work and servicing of large vessels right here, in the Arctic.
The authorities plan to invest in the development of shipbuilding facilities to make the Murmansk region a key Arctic maritime hub.
In late May, Chibis announced that the Murmansk Shipyard was beginning repairs on fishing vessels. In 2027, Kola shipbuilders will start accepting icebreakers. In the future, the plant will service vessels of Atomflot (part of Rosatom).
The Yenisei tanker was built in 2011 at a shipyard in Germany. The vessel is currently owned by PAO "GMK "Norilsky Nikel"" (Nornickel brand).
The Arc7 ice-class tanker delivers fuel and lubricants along the Arkhangelsk — Dudinka route to meet the needs of Nornickel enterprises. In addition, it transports gas condensate from the Pelyatkinskoye gas condensate field (northern Krasnoyarsk Krai).
