TVRS-44 "Ladoga" Banned from Carrying People

Premier Aero head Viktor Martynov described the changes in the liner after its conversion to a cargo version

Following the decision to convert the TVRS-44 "Ladoga" aircraft into a cargo vessel, a number of changes will have to be made to its design, which will entail a new certification testing program. This was announced by Viktor Martynov, head of Premier Aero.

According to him, the transition to the cargo version is not a restart of the project from scratch, but it changes its content.

Martynov clarified that the airframe and power plant are retained, but the conversion will affect the layout of the cargo cabin, the hatch, floor reinforcement, and changes in centering.

For the civil regional transportation market, the "Ladoga" in its passenger version as a serial product is out of the current agenda.
