The United Aircraft Corporation signed an agreement with PAO "Il" on large-scale technical re-equipment of "Aviastar". This was reported by the press service of the Ulyanovsk Region government.
In late 2025, it became known that "Aviastar" would begin producing new aircraft – the Il-100 and Il-276. The former is positioned as a lighter and updated version of the Il-76, while the Il-276 is a completely new military transport aircraft.
Oleg Panteleev, Executive Director of the "Aviaport" agency, stated that the Il-276 could become in demand on the international market in the future.
Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" that the Il-100 "Slon" is positioned as a potential replacement for the An-124 and enters a niche where there is already a full range of such aircraft.
Recall that "Aviastar" is already serially producing modernized heavy military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A and tankers based on them – the Il-78M-90A.
