Russia plans to produce seven gas turbines by the end of 2026, which is similar to last year's pace. By 2029, the production rate will accelerate to 12 power units, announced Anton Alikhanov, head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade.
However, a delay in the delivery of four gas turbines has already been recorded, he clarified.
The main supplier is taking a number of measures to reduce delay times: these include implementing projects to improve the efficiency of existing machines, commissioning new machines, and increasing the number of personnel.
Alikhanov added that the Ministry of Industry and Trade regularly monitors the production times of generating equipment.
RIR ENERGO company has placed a tender for the modernization of the Belgorodskaya TPP "Luch" for almost 6 billion rubles.
The supplier will have to replace outdated American General Electric turbines. Along with Siemens, they power about 10% of Russia's energy capacity.
