The PD-35 high-thrust demonstrator engine confirmed the correctness of the approaches to developing the power plant. This was announced by the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, stated that making the PD-35 economical is a difficult task. However, the unit is still necessary for the country for long-distance cargo and passenger transportation.

Aviation expert Roman Gusarov explained to "Pervy Tekhnichesky" that the PD-35 will be the pinnacle of technology, but its development turned out to be more difficult than launching a rocket into space.

At the same time, aviation engineer Valery Ageev stated that the PD-35 does not live up to high expectations, producing 26 tons of thrust instead of the promised 35 tons.
