Domestic passenger liners are capable of occupying up to 100% of the Russian air fleet, completely displacing foreign equipment. This was stated by Vadim Badeha, head of the United Aircraft Corporation, on the eve of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
Russia is a great aviation power. The way aviation is loved in our country is not loved anywhere else. Therefore, our aircraft can occupy 50, 70, and even 100% of the fleet. If patriotism, common sense, and economic efficiency coincide, 50% is not the limit.
According to the head of the corporation, the current pace of civil aircraft production is already setting the rhythm of development for the entire machine-building industry in Russia. The transition to domestic machines has become a complex process, where the combination of economic benefits and support for domestic manufacturers plays a key role.
Earlier, similar guidelines were announced by major airlines: Aeroflot expects to bring the share of Russian aircraft to half of its fleet within the next ten years.
Earlier, "Perviy Tekhnicheskiy" reported that the first fully import-substituted MS-21 aircraft left the final assembly shop and is preparing for flight tests.
