Belgee switches to Russian auto components: large exterior parts began to be produced near Kaluga

New elements are made from domestic polymers, and their share in the brand's cars may exceed 70%

In Russia, the production of large exterior parts for Belgee cars has begun. These are external polymer body elements that are installed on the outside of the car and are important for its appearance and assembly quality. The project was implemented by MGC Group, "Poliplastik" Group, and "Sibur". Since May 2026, auto components for Belgee have been produced in the Kaluga region from Russian compounds.

Russian participants in the project have built a joint chain for the production of large-sized polymer exterior parts for cars of the Belarusian brand Belgee. For this purpose, high-tech impact-resistant composite materials have been developed. They have increased scratch resistance so that the finished parts retain the car's appearance longer.

Anatoly Svetlikov, Director of the "Transport" division at "Sibur", explained that this is a full-fledged production chain: from "Sibur"'s basic polymer through compounding at "Poluplastik"'s facilities to the finished large product at MGC Group's production.

Specialists faced a difficult task: the materials had to be selected so that the finished parts were durable, met the requirements of the automaker, and precisely matched other elements of the car. Color metamerism was separately taken into account – an effect where the same shade can look different under different lighting conditions.

Manufacturers of Russian polymer raw materials and compounds note that within a few years, the share of Russian plastics in the cars of the Belarusian automaker may exceed 70%.

Lev Gorilovsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Poluplastik", announced that the company's portfolio currently includes almost 300 brands of polymer composites developed specifically for the needs of the automotive industry, including for replacing foreign analogues.
