At the CIPR-2026 conference, Aquarius, Baikal Electronics, and RusBITech-Astra (developer of Astra Linux) signed an agreement to create a unified ecosystem of software and hardware complexes based on Baikal family processors. The solutions are intended for corporate customers and critical information infrastructure facilities.
The essence of the partnership is simple: the companies want to relieve customers of the need to independently assemble a constructor from servers, processors, and an operating system. Instead, Aquarius will produce equipment tailored to the Baikal architecture, and Astra Linux and virtualization platforms will undergo full testing and configuration directly on this hardware.
According to the companies, customers will receive a unified environment where everything works together "out of the box." They will not have to deal with inconsistencies, look for hidden compatibility errors, or figure out which of the three manufacturers is to blame for failures. Instead, they will get a ready, tested, and fully supported platform with a unified architecture and a predictable life cycle on Russian Baikal processors.
