Design engineers and technologists from Sukhoi and Mikoyan Design Bureaus underwent an internship at the aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. They were shown the real production of aircraft and how the ideas of aviation equipment developers are brought to life.
Employees of leading experimental design bureaus for tactical aviation, under the guidance of mentors, worked in the enterprise's divisions according to individual plans. The specific direction of the internship was not specified by OAK.
The guys who came to Komsomolsk-on-Amur, despite their youth, are already experienced design engineers, many are leading specialists in their design bureaus.
The internship participants highly appreciated the level of KnAAZ, the qualifications of the engineering staff, and the organization of production, but noted the lack of internship time to fully immerse themselves in the topic.
Recall that the most anticipated fighter from the Mikoyan bureau remains the MiG-41. The project's implementation timeline is unknown. The aviation industry allowed for the appearance of a new interceptor in the second half of the decade, but official confirmations are not yet available.
The visit of Sukhoi specialists is also interesting because information recently emerged about plans to create a 6th-generation fighter. This design bureau is the leading developer of tactical aviation aircraft in Russia.
