Shipbuilders of Russia's oldest ship repair plant, "Krasnaya Kuznitsa" (Arkhangelsk), brought the dry cargo ship "Arktika-2" (Bijlsma Trader 9000 project) into the M-32 floating dock. The vessel's hull and its outer plating will be repaired.
Workers will bring the dry cargo ship's bottom-side valves and box coolers (ship cooling systems) to a normative state. The terms for the dock repair are not specified.
The universal ice-class vessel "Arktika-2" was built at a shipyard in the Netherlands in 2002. The dry cargo ship is operated by the Russian company "Eko Shipping". Its home port is Arkhangelsk. Together with "Arktika-1", the vessel carries out cargo transportation along the Northern Sea Route, supplying settlements in the Far North.
