The USA could have spied on "Sarmat" tests

American intelligence activity was recorded near Kamchatka before the launch

On the eve of the test launch of the new intercontinental ballistic missile "Sarmat" at the Kura testing ground in the Kamchatka region, increased activity of reconnaissance aircraft was recorded. This was reported by the publication Avia.pro with reference to sources.

The activity of the reconnaissance aircraft could have been related to the collection of telemetry data on the missile's flight trajectory, the operation of its stages, and the characteristics of its warheads.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that the Russian side had warned the United States about the tests through a notification from the National Nuclear Risk Reduction Center. This is standard international practice.

A day earlier, it became known that the "Sarmat" tests were successful. The declared range of the missile is up to 35,000 km. The missile can move along a suborbital trajectory, overcoming all existing and prospective defense systems.
