Tiger's Leap: Roscosmos Approves Daring Emblem for "Soyuz MS-29"

The new crew patch combines symbols of taiga strength, protection, and joint flights to the ISS

Roscosmos has approved the official emblem for the "Soyuz MS-29" crewed spacecraft, scheduled for launch to the ISS in the summer of 2026. The composition was created by artist Alima Feyzulina.

At the center of the patch is a tiger, whose leap into space reflects humanity's aspiration for new frontiers. Next to it are depicted the "Soyuz" spacecraft and the International Space Station: these elements emphasize the reliability of the technology and many years of experience in joint flights. Fragments of the flags of Russia and the USA indicate the international composition of the crew and the continuation of cooperation between the two countries in near-Earth space.

Additional symbols – a sable, a four-leaf clover, and Far Eastern patterns – allude to the support of loved ones, good luck, and connection to the homeland. The Moon adds a touch of romance to the image of a distant space journey, while the Earth's horizon line reminds us of the fragility and beauty of our planet.

The emblem's shape is designed as a shield, symbolizing protection and resilience during a complex mission.

The "Soyuz MS-29" spacecraft will deliver the crew to the ISS as part of the planned crewed flight program. Preparations for the launch are on schedule.
