The Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAZ) is optimizing its production capacities and will implement new equipment for the overhaul of Su-30 series fighters. This was announced by the former general director of the enterprise, Alexander Veprev.
According to him, new production facilities will be put into operation by the end of 2026. After that, the pace of major overhauls will be up to two aircraft per month.
Veprev noted that the enterprise is also working to increase labor productivity. By 2030, the indicator should grow by 34%, and simultaneously, a reduction in production costs within the framework of the state defense order is planned.
Recall that the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (part of PAO "Yakovlev") also produces civilian airliners MC-21 and combat trainers Yak-130. Earlier, the enterprise completed the reconstruction of the main step-down substation.
