The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) has completed the implementation of the new Russian computer-aided design system for onboard complexes, Maks. It has replaced foreign software, for which it proved impossible to obtain a license.
Now UZGA designers work in a domestic program without any loss of quality. The plant's press service noted that the enterprise has begun producing more aviation equipment, while the number of designers has increased.
Maks helps calculate harness thickness and the quantity of materials, check wiring by cross-section, and also creates specifications, tables, and lists of purchased products.
Rosaviatsiya did not mention the LMS-901 in its plans for certification in 2026; however, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov promised to complete work on the aircraft by the end of 2026. UZGA has not yet produced any serial Baikal models.
