The largest Russian microelectronics manufacturer "Element" has acquired the rights to intellectual property from a Chinese company, CNews reports. According to the publication, a subsidiary of the holding — "Element-Technologies" — concluded two agreements in November and December 2024, transferring an advance payment of 99.4 million rubles. According to the terms of the contracts, the rights to the developments will be received in the first and second quarters of 2026.
Representatives of "Element" refused to disclose details, citing commercial secrets. However, CNews sources among microelectronics manufacturers believe that the deal is related to power modules for fast electric charging stations with a capacity of 30 and 40 kW. One of the agreements mentions a capacity of 40 kW, which corresponds to the parameters of a standard power module inside a DC charging station.
"Element" plans to launch the production of such modules in Moscow. The production capacity should be 10–15 thousand units per year, and the company intended to produce the first batch of a thousand units before the end of 2025. The company from China, in turn, specializes in products for power electronics, including power supplies for the defense and aerospace industries.
