External power supply to the Zaporizhzhia NPP has been fully restored via the 330 kV high-voltage line "Ferrosplavnaya-1" after automatic protection temporarily cut off the power supply. Specialists from the nuclear power plant, together with engineers from the grid organization, promptly eliminated the consequences of the failure and returned the system to operating mode.
Previously, automation recorded deviations in network parameters and de-energized the line for safety reasons. At that moment, the station's own needs were provided by backup diesel generators.
After restoring the power supply scheme via the "Ferrosplavnaya-1" line, external power was supplied to the ZNPP in full, necessary for the stable operation of the equipment. Backup generators have been switched to standby mode - they are ready to start, but are not currently in use.
Technological processes at the nuclear power plant are proceeding normally, all safety parameters are being observed. The radiation background at the industrial site, in the sanitary protection zone and the observation zone remains at the level of natural background values. Operating personnel monitor the situation on an ongoing basis.
