People Want to Replace Humans with Robots in Three Depots of the "LocoTech" Company

"LocoTech-Service" has agreed with the Federal Center of Competencies (FCC) on a joint assessment of the prospects for depot robotization, the company's press service told "Perviy Technicheskiy." Experts from the center will check how production processes are organized in three of the company's depots – in Liski (Southern branch), Karasuk (West Siberian branch), and Nizhneudinsk (East Siberian branch).

The General Director of LocoTech, Andrey Vlasenko, explained that the company already uses industrial robots at other Transmashholding enterprises. This provides an increase in productivity and reduces the risk of errors due to human factors. He believes that it is worth taking a closer look at the automation of some repair operations in the depot as well.

The state examination is free for the company. At the end of the inspection, the depots will receive a report with proposals for robotization, as well as a "road map" for implementation with an economic calculation. This document will help justify investments in the future and apply for subsidies or preferential loans from the state.
