Operators of Forpost reconnaissance unmanned systems manufactured by the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) took part in exercises at training grounds in the Kaliningrad Region. This was reported by the press service of the Baltic Fleet.
UAV crews checked its power supply systems, and then launched it. After arriving in the designated area, the Forposts discovered the target and escorted it along the entire route.
Being at altitudes of up to several thousand meters, UAVs transmitted information about the conduct of combat training exercises by ships of the Baltic Fleet, located at a considerable distance from the coast, to the command post via digital communication channels.
The military also searched for a small vessel that had sent a distress signal. The Forpost operators discovered it and transmitted the coordinates to one of the ships to conduct a rescue operation.
The press service added that during the maneuvers, the Forpost UAV crews identified strongholds of a mock enemy at one of the coastal training grounds. The soldiers also practiced delivering mock strikes against enemy fortified areas.
