A new RSM-2000 "Iskra" rail welding machine (PTK Group) will participate in the replacement of rail strings on the Northern Railway this season. In the summer, the machine will be tested on the Northern Railway, and then it will go to the construction of the high-speed railway St. Petersburg - Moscow.
The uniqueness of "Iskra" lies in two main features. Firstly, it can weld rails both directly on the track and inside the train, which makes it flexible for any task - from routine repairs to large-scale construction. Secondly, "Iskra" works in all weather conditions: from minus 30 to plus 40 degrees, while most machines have strict temperature restrictions. It is this combination of mobility and all-weather capability that allows it to be used in the construction of the Moscow - St. Petersburg high-speed railway.
Earlier, PTK Group also announced the completion of testing of a new track machine for straightening the railway track with a laser positioning system. The device allows you to adjust the position of the rails with an accuracy of up to a millimeter without human intervention, which halves the repair time. The machine has already been tested on the experimental ring and is preparing to enter the network of Russian railways.
