Russian engineer invents new protection for tanks: it tears apart enemy ammunition before impact

The electromechanical device spins dozens of metal and fiberglass cables, creating a protective zone

Inventor Anatoly Ukhov patented a device to protect tanks and other armored vehicles from air attacks. The development is designed to neutralize ammunition flying into the upper hemisphere.

The system works as follows: an electric motor is fixed on the frame, which, when turned on, spins several dozen metal and fiberglass cables in the pipes. In the working position, the cables take a horizontal position, forming a protective zone above the equipment. In the non-working state, the cable system is folded and located on an additional lathing of steel rods assembled in a circle. The pipe itself can be located slightly above the metal lathing on the tank at a slight angle.

According to the author's idea, the device is capable of neutralizing almost any ammunition attacking armored vehicles from above - whether it is a kamikaze drone, an anti-tank missile or other means of destruction.
