Self-propelled guns "Msta-S" began to be buried in caponiers: military ingenuity

Russian artillery units of 152-mm self-propelled artillery guns (SPG) "Msta-S" began to be buried in deep caponiers. This cunning trick, atypical for such weapons, has become very widespread.

Gunner Stepan explained that first the soldiers dig a ditch, and then the gun drives into it and a canopy is installed.

We bring ammunition to the cellar and, accordingly, a bunker-bungalow.

The equipment of warehouses in such "basements" is not at all accidental. There are several reasons for this.

Lower temperature and more protected place. From arrivals and also from FPV drones and everything else.

Self-propelled artillery units "Msta-S" are now capable of firing at a distance of up to 30 kilometers, solving the problem of counter-battery warfare. Preparation for battle takes only 10 minutes.

The rate of fire of the installation has also increased — up to 10 shots per minute. Drones-scouts mainly help with aiming, including "Orlan-10".
