Production of LMS-901 "Baikal" is accelerating: UZGA is building a new foundry

The site will appear on the basis in Uktus

The Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) has begun construction of a new foundry. This was announced by the head of the Sverdlovsk region Denis Pasler in his Telegram channel.

The Governor held a working meeting with the executive director of UZGA, Oleg Dotsenko, at which he touched upon this topic. Pasler did not specify the planned capacity and timing of the completion of the construction of the workshop.

Of course, we will continue to work with UZGA. Currently, the company is building a new foundry. The task is common — to get the aircraft industry in the Middle Urals off the ground as soon as possible.
Denis Pasler, Head of the Sverdlovsk Region

According to the Signal Ural publication, it is about a production site in Uktus and the unfreezing of the investment program. The final decision will be made by the owners of the company.

The key areas of UZGA are the light multipurpose aircraft "Baikal" and the turboprop regional aircraft "Ladoga". The timing of aircraft certification is unknown, and Rosaviatsia even did not mention the LMS-901 in its plans for 2026.
