KamAZ Switching to Four-Day Work Week From June 1 Amidst Huge Losses of 37 Billion Rubles

In 2025, the company's revenue decreased 32-fold

PJSC KAMAZ is preparing to switch to a four-day work week from June 1. A preliminary order has already been signed, and employees have been familiarized with the document. The decision will be made if the negative market conditions persist.

The reason for this measure is the decline in sales of truck equipment. The market for heavy trucks in the Russian Federation decreased by 40% year-on-year in January–February. KamAZ sales fell by 15%, while the company's share increased to 37%.

The reduced schedule will not affect continuous cycle units. The priority of the plant remains the execution of contracts for state customers. In 2025, PJSC KAMAZ also introduced a reduced week, but then returned to the normal schedule after the stabilization of orders.

Earlier it became known that the net loss of the plant for 2025 increased 11 times compared to the previous year, reaching 37.03 billion rubles. During the same period, the gross profit of the plant decreased almost 32 times — to 757 million rubles, and revenue decreased by 2.5% — to 315.2 billion rubles.
