The Ulyanovsk plant "Aviastar" has built another military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A. The aircraft received registration number RF-76323.
Photos of the new "Il" have appeared online. According to the Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies, the customer for the transport aircraft was the FSB of Russia. The serial number of the aircraft is currently unknown.
It should be noted that until now, Il-76MD-90A aircraft were only in service with the Aerospace Forces of Russia.
The Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexei Russkikh, stated that the "Aviastar" plant was tasked with increasing production. To this end, robotic machines were introduced at the enterprise to optimize processes and reduce the share of manual labor.
Also, the head of UAC, Vadim Badeha, noted that there is huge interest from foreign customers in the Il-76MD-90A. He did not specify which ones, but recently foreign media reported on the likely participation of "Ilyushin" in supplies of transport aircraft to India.
