New EP2DM with Mint Interior Passed Tests on the Yaroslavl Direction

The updated electric train was successfully tested from Pushkino to Sergiev Posad

An updated EP2DM electric train with a mint interior underwent a test run for the first time on the Yaroslavl direction. The train, without passengers, successfully traveled the route from Pushkino to Sergiev Posad and back under the control of machinists from the Central Suburban Passenger Company (TsPPK).

Specialists checked the operation of traction motors, climate control systems, and the braking system — all components are functioning normally. This is a mandatory step before the train enters regular service with passengers.

In the updated version of the EP2DM, the interior has been significantly improved: the interior is decorated in fresh mint and gray tones, the floor is made darker and more practical, and the seats have become more comfortable and modern. Passengers can expect improved restrooms, climate control, air disinfection, and other innovations that have appeared taking into account people's feedback.

The Yaroslavl direction is one of the busiest in the capital region: on weekdays, it handles over 300,000 trips. The renewal of rolling stock here has been underway since June 2025 on the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
